Car Rental Agreement
By renting a vehicle from RentNRideCar, you agree to the following terms and conditions. This agreement is designed to ensure transparency, safety, and a smooth rental process.
1. Rental Requirements
– Minimum age to rent is 21 years old.
– A valid driver’s license (U.S. or International with passport) is required.
– A valid credit or debit card is required for deposit.
2. Vehicle Use
– Vehicles may only be driven by authorized drivers listed in the agreement.
– Prohibited uses include: off-road driving, towing, racing, carrying passengers for hire, or unlawful activity.
– Smoking inside vehicles is strictly prohibited.
3. Insurance & Liability
– Maryland law requires that your personal auto insurance extend to rental cars (up to 30 days).
– Optional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) may be purchased.
– Optional Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) and Personal Accident/Effects Coverage (PAI/PEC) may be offered.
– The renter is responsible for all damages, theft, or loss unless covered by insurance or waivers.
4. Payment & Deposits
– A refundable security deposit is required at the time of rental.
– Accepted payment methods: credit card, debit card, approved direct billing.
– All charges are subject to final audit (including mileage, cleaning, tolls, and violations).
5. Breakdowns & Accidents
– In the event of an accident, call 911 first (if needed) and then contact us at 301-399-0800.
– Roadside assistance is available 24/7.
– A police report is required for all accidents.
6. Mileage & Returns
– Rentals include a set mileage allowance (listed in your reservation).
– Excess mileage will be billed per mile.
– Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup.
– Late returns may result in additional daily charges.
7. Tolls, Fines & Violations
The renter is responsible for all tolls, traffic tickets, parking fines, and violations incurred during the rental period. If RentNRideCar is billed directly, the renter authorizes us to charge the payment method on file plus an administrative fee.
8. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By booking or signing a rental with RentNRideCar, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions. A full copy of the signed rental contract will be provided at the time of vehicle pickup.
